World Cup Blog

This is my second blog here on blogger. My last blog was in swedish, and was about web design. Now I am going to write about football! We are only weeks away from yet another world cup - the biggest human event in the world! This time, the tournament is held in Germany. This means that the interest and economic importance of the tournament will be bigger then ever.

In this blog I will write about the tournament as a whole, most remarkable results, great performances and goals. But I will put extra focus in the best team that participates from Africa - Cote d'Ivoire, also called Ivory Cost. I think they have a really interested squad, with lots of players belonging to european clubs. Also, I like to try to be unique, and not write about the most popular national teams (Brazil, England, Sweden, Italy, etc.). However, my knowledge in ivorian soccer is limited, I don't have any relation to the team except that I watched them on TV some times the last year and there i no possibility for me to watch any games with them live. Besides that I don't know their official language, french which makes it more difficult to collect news directly from the national media. Instead my blogs are based on info I find on the Internet, TV spots and all their games that I am determined to watch on TV. I use to watch all World Cup games on TV, but now I will watch Cote d'Ivoire extra closely.

This blog will be availible in Swedish on Aftonbladet.se, but I'll try to keep it more compact there. That is, all the info will be put here first, and then a summary is translated into Swedish.
